This year Archer finalized the partnership agreement that is highly important for the company. In a cooperation with National Mining University, we has started the process of selection and preparations of submission for the Horizon 2020 program. It is the biggest EU Research and Innovation programme ever, with nearly €80 billion of funding available over 7 years (2014 to 2020). It promises more breakthroughs, discoveries and world-firsts by taking great ideas from the lab to the market. Preparing our vision and presentation of the projects where we can contribute with knowledge and skills company has, we are focused on topics that are closely related to our specialization, such as Healthcare, IoT and Automotive. Currently we are considering and researching our potential contribution to such H2020 calls as “Accelerating market introduction of ICT solutions for Health”, “Increasing digital security of health related data on a systemic level”, PCP - eHealth innovation in empowering the patient.

In IoT and High Tech we chose the following topics to explore: IoT/Cloud/Big Data platforms in social application contexts, Well-Being and Ageing Well, Assurance and Certification for Trustworthy and Secure ICT systems, services and components, Privacy, Data Protection, Digital Identities; Addressing Advanced Cyber Security Threats and Threat Actors; Cryptography; Cyber Security for SMEs, local public administration and Individuals; Innovative concepts, systems and services towards ‘mobility as a service’; and Technologies for Learning and Skills.

After filtering out the first layer of the calls, in Q1 2016 we will concentrate on preparing the packages for submission.
