Business analysis for intelligent hybrid drive electric dollies startup
Electrans Technologies Ltd. (ETL) was founded by Brian Layfield following a feasibility study that showed that an electric convertor dolly could deliver fuel consumption reduction of a tractor in double trailers configuration.
In April 2018, ETL received a Low Carbon Innovation Fund (LCIF) grant from the Government of Ontario to fund technology validation and facilitate the commercialization of the electric dolly technology. ETL began low-volume prototyping and assembly.
The startup required a team of business and system analysts to help perform in-depth market research following up by a set of pitch decks for different target audiences that would cover the system overview, its potential application across various fleet management and logistics companies along with the benefits the system would provide.
